          I'm Thumbody

          Offers a one-hour educational program for 2nd grade students that introduces mental health themes like self-esteem, communication, feelings, behavior management

          and sources of safe help.

          Listen To Children

          Offers a school and community based mentoring program that pairs children to screened, trained and supervised volunteers for weekly support.  Self-esteem and         

          communication skills are prioritized and post-vention services are available for children who have suffered a crisis or trauma.

          Parent Education/Parent Support (PEPS)

          Offers parent education courses and parent support groups which meet DCF and Court criteria, and parent skills workshops including classes for parents who are 

          divorcing or need help after a divorce.

          Parenting Classes

          Offers community-based workshops on parenting subjects of interest to the general public including communication, listening, discipline and stress management.

          Public Education

          Offers educational presentations and literature on mental wellness and mental illness topics and produces a television program on mental health issues.

Crisis Intake Unit Sexual Assault Treatment Center

Provides forensic medical examinations and interviews for victims of sexual assault, 24 hours, 7 days, and crisis counseling and victim advocacy.  DCF and law enforcement contacted when victim is a child.

Our House

Provides individual family and group counseling for child and adult victims of sexual assault and/or sexual abuse, and a safe nurturing environment for children to visit with the non-custodial parent in the presence of an observer.

A broad-based, substance use/abuse coalition made up of community leaders, consumers, family members, youth, social services, healthcare professionals, faith-based organizations, educators, government officials, law enforcement, and other advocates from multiple sectors of Broward County.  Our role is to act as a central focus for coordinated community efforts in the area of substance use/abuse services.  We serve as a catalyst for change and convener of addressing substance use/abuse issues and its' related issues.  Opportunities for involvement include various task forces and other initiates as well as our Broward Youth Coalition and Family Advisory Council.
